No. The PDF is parsed by a PDF engine running in your browser, so contracts and reports never leave your device.
Does this work on scanned PDFs?
Only if the PDF has a real text layer. Scanned image-only PDFs have no embedded text — for those, try our OCR-based Image to Text tool on each page instead.
Is formatting preserved?
You get plain text with paragraph breaks between pages. Tables, columns, and fonts aren't preserved — this tool is for grabbing the words, not the layout.
